BIO

Erik Westerdahl is currently studying for a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design at Konstfack University College of Arts Crafts and Design, in Stockholm. In addition to the design studies, Erik is a shareholder of the company Viltra Designstudio AB where he’s working as a designer.

At Konstfack, Erik Westerdahl has been appointed to Student IT-Representative and the Student Union’s IT-manager by the Student Union at Konstfack. Erik participates in IT development at Konstfack – this far resulting in a new external and internal webpage, portfolios for all of the students, a rewritten IT-policy with equal rights for students and employees and the opening of the wireless network for all students (all this will be implemented during summer/fall 2010). Erik was also recently elected to webmaster, in charge of news and texts on Konstfack website, by the management of the industrial design program.

At previous studies, and ongoing studies, Erik Westerdahl has received education in the following computer software: Adobe Master Collection, Final Cut Pro, Soundtrack Pro, Microsoft Office, Rhinoceros, various FTP-programs, Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

Erik Westerdahl’s interest in IT and computer software combined with his interest in design, has led to an even greater interest in interaction- and concept design. An interest that Erik will develop during his education.
